Rig Life Co.

Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

The short version

  • No account needed. You can use the Trail Finder, Trip Builder and Rejee without giving us your name or email.
  • We only get what you send us, such as a newsletter signup, a partner inquiry or a trip photo you share.
  • We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't run ad trackers on this site.
  • Want something deleted? Email riglifeco17@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

1. Information you give us

  • Newsletter signup: your email address.
  • Become a Partner and event forms: business name, your name, email, phone, town and anything you write in the form.
  • Share Your Trip on the Community page: your name, email, photos and story. Your name, photos and story may be posted publicly on the Community page. Your email is never shown.
  • Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider, Webflow, and the services that load parts of our pages receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems. Webflow may use a small number of cookies needed for the site to work. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

3. Tools that work in your browser

  • Trip Builder: your plan is saved only in the link and in the calendar file you download. We don't store your itinerary on our servers.
  • Rejee: your questions are matched to answers inside your browser and are not saved by us. If you tap the microphone, your browser's own speech recognition turns your voice into text, and your browser maker, such as Google or Apple, may process that audio under its own privacy policy.
  • Trail Finder: the map loads tiles from OpenTopoMap and Esri, and trailhead elevations come from the U.S. Geological Survey. Those services see a normal web request from your browser, but not your location. We never ask for or track your location.
  • Map and directions buttons open Apple Maps or Google Maps, which follow their own privacy policies.

4. How we use your information

We use it to answer your questions, send the newsletter you asked for, set up and manage partner listings, review and post community photos, and improve Rig Life. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run Rig Life, such as Webflow for the website and forms, Google for email, and Make.com for moving form submissions into our systems. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
  • The public, for community posts you choose to share.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.
  • A future owner, if Rig Life is ever sold or merged, under this same policy.

Adventure Partners do not receive your information from us. If you contact or book with a partner, you share your information with them directly, under their own policies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Partner inquiries are kept while we are talking with the business and for our records afterward. Community posts stay up until you ask us to remove them.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you, or to take down a community post, by emailing riglifeco17@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, and we will honor them.

8. Children

Rig Life is meant for adults planning trips. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Security

We use trusted providers and reasonable safeguards, but no website or email system is completely secure. Please don't send sensitive information, such as payment card numbers, through our forms.

10. Shop

When the Rig Life shop opens, payments will be handled by a secure payment processor. We won't see or store your full card number. This policy will be updated before the shop opens.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as Rig Life grows. The date below shows the latest version.
